Globstudy is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for students, teachers, and researchers from universities in East and Southeast Asian countries. In partnership with Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT), we invite you to apply for the Digital Cultural Tourism and Technology Integration Summer Camp - a fully funded course taking place in Chongqing, China from October 9 to October 31, 2025.

Why You Should Join

This program is designed for students, faculty members and researchers at foreign universities who want to gain cutting-edge knowledge on digital cultural tourism and technology within the scope of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The program covers:

✅ Seminars and Lectures: Learn about the development of AI and 5G, trends in media technology innovation, big data analysis and precision marketing in cultural tourism, AI applications in cultural relics restoration.

✅ Practical Experience: Visit Western International Communication Center, Chongqing Archeology Institute, Chongqing Cultural Tourism Group, Tencent Cultural Tourism to learn about the latest advancements in Chongqing's digital media and digital tourism sectors.

✅ Cultural Exchanges: Experience traditional Chinese culture and Chongqing's local culture; unique transportation systems (e.g., iconic monorails, cable cars); local cuisine and traditional food culture; on-site visits to museums, ancient towns, and natural/urban landscapes to fully experience China's vibrant charm.

✅ Discussion and Negotiation: Network with scholars, digital media experts, and cultural tourism professionals. Engage in technical, promotional, application-oriented topics in AI + Digital Media. Discuss innovative cooperation models for AI + Digital Media, and establish platforms for multilateral cooperation among stakeholders.

Funding:

Program tuition fee, accommodation, meals, comprehensive medical insurance, and weekly tours are all covered by a full scholarship by Chongqing municipality!

Upon completion:

Program participants will receive a certificate of completion of "Digital Cultural Tourism and Technology Integration Summer Camp" from CQUPT.

Week 1: Policy and Digitalization Framework
Day 1-2	Opening Ceremony and Orientation Session
Day 3-5	Technical Foundations and Global Comparisons. Theoretical Courses: Applications of 5G/6G, IoT, and Block chain in Cultural Tourism. Practical Task: Research on the Digitization Issues of Local Cultural Tourism and Propose Solutions
Day 6-7	Chinese Lesson: Developing Chinese Seminar: Chinese History and Culture
Week 2: Data Analysis and User Experience
Day 8-9	Data-Driven Decision Making Theoretical Courses: Ethical Considerations in Cultural Tourism Data Collection, User Profiling Modeling Case Study: Airbnb’s Cultural Adaptation Strategy and Its Implications for Chongqing’s Digital Home-stays
Day 10-11	Digital Content and Communication Theoretical Courses: Multilingual Content Generation with AIGC, International Dissemination of Short Videos Practical Task: Design a Multilingual Info-graphic on Chongqing Hotpot Culture
Day 12-13	Business Models and Innovation theoretical Courses: Incubation of Digital Cultural Tourism IPs, Cross-Border Payments and the Application of Digital RMB Simulation Exercise: Simulate the Global Commercialization Path of the “Mountain City Path Cultural Certification System”
Day 14	Introduction to Chongqing History and Culture Chinese Lesson: Developing Chinese
Week 3: Core Technology Practice
Day 15-16	VR/AR Rapid Development Technology Module: Unity Crash Course, Building Basic 3D Scene Models Deliverable: Submit an AR Guided Tour Demonstration Video
Day 17-18	Digital Twin and Intelligent Management Technology Module: Introduction to Tencent Cloud Digital Twin Platform, Python Script Writing Deliverable: Output a Visualized Chart of the “Cable Car Congestion Prediction Report”
Day 19-20	Block chain and Digital Assets Technical Modules：Ant Chain Practical Training，Open Sea Platform Simulation Deliverable: Block chain Asset Hash Value, Digital Collectibles Marketing Copy
Final Week: Urban Research and Inspection & Scenario Validation
Day 21	Smart Scenic Areas & Cultural Heritage Digitization Field Route: Hongya Cave Smart Scenic Area, Huguang Guild Hall & Baixiang Historical District Technical Validation Tasks: Python Script for Crowd Prediction AR Applications: Multilingual AR Guide Labels, Live-Action Role-Playing + Digital Guides Digital Content Innovation:《Digital Revitalization Proposal for Historical Districts》
Day 22	Cultural Innovation & Tech Integration Key Sites: Three Gorges Museum, Chongqing Science & Technology Museum Task: Design the “Multilingual Experience Survey Questionnaire for Digital Exhibition Halls” to Collect International Visitor Data On-site Case Study: Tech-Tourism Optimization Proposals
Day 23	Final Roadshow and Closing Ceremony

💵 Consulting Registration Fee: $300 USD
- Payment due date is August 15.
- Refundable if no slot left in the program.
✅ Age Limit: 18-35 y.o. (student, teacher, researcher)
✅ Lanugage Requirement: English (B2) or Chinese HSK 3
🌏 Citizenship: East and Southeast Asia: Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand.

Note:

All program costs, except for flight tickets, visa, consulting registration fee, are covered by Chongqing municipality. There are only 15 seats available (first-come first-serve) for this scholarship. Applicants must have B2 proficiency in English language or HSK 3 level in Chinese (no certificate is required). Applicants must meet general requirements and apply by deadline.
