In the 2026 academic year, Globstudy students were placed across 33 countries, from Austria to Australia. This report presents the destinations, visa outcomes, university placements, and scholarships achieved during the cycle.

Beyond this year's 33 countries, Globstudy's cumulative admissions and visa experience now spans 46 countries in total.

Top 5 Destinations for 2026 academic year

United States

53 students applied to universities in the United States in 2026, the highest number of any destination. Of the 39 students who applied for an F-1 student visa, 18 were approved, an approval rate of approximately 46%.

Students were admitted to the following universities, several with partial to full scholarships:

• Duke University

• University of Washington

• University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

• George Washington University

• Northeastern University

• Boston University

• Penn State University

China

China was the second most popular destination, with 41 applicants. Visa approval for China reached 100% this cycle.

Placements included:

• C9 League universities: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, and Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen)

• International and dual-degree universities: Duke Kunshan University, NYU Shanghai, and the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), several with scholarships

• Additional placements at Sun Yat-sen University, Wuhan University, and Chongqing University

Germany

Germany was the third most popular destination, with 34 applicants. Visa approval for Germany reached 100% this cycle.

Approximately 40% of students were placed at public universities offering free tuition. The remaining students enrolled at Germany's top private institutions.

Canada

Canada was not among the top 5 destinations by applicant volume, but produced some of the strongest outcomes of the year. Four students were admitted to McGill University, ranked in the world's top 30 and the number 1 university in Canada. Two of these students received full scholarships covering tuition, living expenses, and a stipend.

Additional placements included the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, the University of Ottawa, York University, and the University of Alberta.

Australia, Malaysia, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Austria, Hungary, Latvia, Czechia, Qatar, Malta, France, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, UAE, Belgium, Estonia, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Kazakhstan.
