Shakhboz graduated from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Tashkent. Afterwards, he completed in Master’s program at UAE University before enrolling in a PhD program (petroleum engineering) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).

For your information, KFUPM is a top 67 university (QS ranking). In petroleum engineering, it ranks fifth in the world.
