SHOU Summer School 2026: Globstudy Students Complete Marine Sustainability Program in Shanghai
Between May 28 and June 13, three Globstudy students participated in the Marine Sustainability Summer School at Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), and returned with two weeks of academic experience, cultural immersion, and memories from two of China's most vibrant cities.
About the Program
The SHOU Summer School brought together international students for an intensive two-week program centered on marine sustainability โ one of the most pressing fields in global science and policy today. Shanghai Ocean University, ranked among the top 12 universities in Shanghai, is a natural home for this kind of program given its long-standing focus on ocean and marine research.
The program was structured to balance academics with real-world exploration. Alongside lectures on marine sustainability, students took part in three-day tours in Shanghai and three-day tours in Hangzhou, one of China's most scenic and culturally rich cities. Cultural activities, Chinese language sessions, and social events rounded out the experience.

Full Scholarship for Globstudy Students
All three Globstudy students participated on a full scholarship, which covered tuition fees, accommodation, insurance, and comprehensive program fees. The only costs not included were flight tickets and personal expenses โ making this one of the most accessible international academic experiences available for students from Uzbekistan.
